I review the results of a wide-range international collaboration.
The empirical analysis of the interstellar matter and the early stages of the
stellar formation takes place 8 years ago under the title mentioned project
with Hungarian participation. We determine the physical parameters of
more than 10 thousand interstellar clouds with an entirely new approach.
A substantial portion of the clouds show the signs of star formation.
The work resulted not only in publications but also new observing campaigns.
I will select some news abut these campaigns, as well.
